Quick start guide

This is a brief guide on all the features of the ANGELS Mobile Client.

Introduction

Before starting the discussion of the features of the ANGELS Mobile Client, it is useful to describe the main entities which the operator must interact with during the application usage.

Operator Authentication

This is the first action that an operator must do.
An operator can sign into the system by either using its personal QR-code or by manually inputting its ID.

A "Visitor" is a special kind of operator which does not need any authentication code to sign into the system.

Hospital selection

Once logged in, the operator can either manually select a hospital or scan its related QR-code.

IMPORTANT: if the operator can only sign into one hospital, he will be automatically redirected to the department's selection.

  1. Sign out button: once the operator is logged in, he/she can sign out from the application by pressing the button.

Department selection

When the operator is identified in a hospital, he can either manually select a department or scan its related QR-code.

Department navigation

This is the main panel of the ANGELS Mobile Client.
In this panel, the operator can navigate in the selected department, scan its TAGS and visualize instructions about them.

  1. TAGS List: this button displays/hides all the department TAGS which the operator can display.
  2. Available Trainings List: this button displays/hides a list of all the available trainings.
  3. TAG Scanner: this button starts the scanner of TAG codes inside the department.
  4. Grid visualization: this button displays/hides a virtual grid during the department navigation.
  5. Map visualization: this button displays/hides the department map during the department navigation.
  6. TAG Categories toolbar: this toolbar acts as a filter on which TAGS categories are displayed in real-time. Enabling a category means that its TAGS will be visible by the operator.
    Pressing the "Risk" category button shows a subcategory toolbar.
  1. Current TAG button: this button displays the TAG which has currently been scanned. Pressing it will display its content panel.
  2. Radar:the radar displays all TAGS surrounding the current scanned one. Click on the radar to open the map's Top View.
  3. TAG Category alarm: when a new TAG will be scanned, a simple animation alerting the operator will be displayed, along with a audio alert.
  1. Current position in the map: in the Top view, that icon will depict the current TAG position in the department.
  2. Compass: a simple compass showing the North.

  1. Font size adjustment: press these buttons to increase/decrease the font size.
  2. Return to main description: press this button to return to the main description.
  3. Close panel: this button will close the content panel.
  4. Start AR visualization:press the button to display additional contents in Augmented Reality (AR) by pointing the device to the printed target.

Training

Training selection Training summary
  1. Start training: press the button to start the selected training.
  1. Necessary action: the exclamation point image means that this TAG must be analyzed by the operator in order to complete the step.
  2. Optional action: when greyed-out, it means that this TAG's analysis is not necessary to complete the step.
  3. Completed action: when a TAG has been analyzed by the operator, a chek image will appear.
  4. Go to next training step: after the operator has completed all necessary actions, he/she can advance to the next step. If the last step has been completed, then pressing this button will end the training.
  5. Stop training: press this button to abort the training.
